Family Doctor / Primary Care Nurse
Most people have a family doctor who they see for general health problems or for regular check-ups. You often need a referral from a family doctor to see a specialist. You must make an appointment to see any doctor.
The Primary Care Nurse works closely with the family doctor to provide medical ser-vices to residents. The Primary Care Nurse can provide services for female patients.
If you have health records from your home country, bring them with you to show to your new doctor.

Pharmacies or drug stores carry many medicines that you can buy without seeing a doctor. These are called ‘over-the-counter’ medicines. A pharmacist can help you choose these medicines. The Rossburn Pharmacy is located at 23 Main St. N. (859-2705 or 859-3172).
