The Rossburn Soccer Association Inc. (RSA) is a non-for-profit organization created in April 2005 to promote soccer in Rossburn. Our primary purpose is to have fun while improving the technical, mental and physical abilities of players.
RSA was created to support the already existing recreational soccer and to expand and include league soccer. By pooling our resources together we are using them more efficiently.
Proud moments are abundant. Every year, when we see all the soccer players on the field, it reminds us why we put all those hours into organizing season after season. Getting recognized by various departments that have given us grants over the years; having two official soccer fields established in our community; when kids, parents and coaches come back, year after year, all those are great moments for the Board.
Every new season brings challenges, and we are always looking for more volunteers, assistants and coaches and of course more players so that we can minimize them.
A typical season starts in February where we start planning the spring season. March sees fundraisers, the AGM, registrations and scheduling. April, we finalize the registrations and schedules. May and June are spent keeping up with everything while the kids have a blast. July usually sees the wind-up for the Rec Soccer and the reviewing of the spring season. This year, we hope to see a fall season as well for the U6 to U10 (maybe U12).
We would like to thank everyone that has helped the RSA become what it is: past, present and future board members, parents, coaches, volunteers and the children! We also want to thank the community that has helped us since the beginning, without that support, we wouldn’t be where we are today!

We now have 2 regulation size soccer fields to play on and we welcome kids from surrounding towns not having a soccer program. The concept is to encourage physical activity and fitness, along with the development of soccer skills, sportsmanship and teamwork. In the League Soccer, we also emphasize the competitive element.
Recreational Soccer
Meant for children in Grades Pre-K (4 years old) to Grade 6.
Surrounding communities teams will be our game partners.
League Soccer
For youth from Grade 5 up to 18 years of age. We are playing in the Westman Rural Youth Soccer League (see at www.freewebs.com/westmansoccer)
In order to play soccer, we need more than kids... we are always looking for adults interested in helping out. Each year, we struggle to find coaches and referees. If you are interested, please contact us. Arrangements can be made if you would like to get a training before-hand.
In the name of the children, thank you!
