Economic development is not an easy term to define but it is essentially the process of developing and maintaining suitable economic, social and political environments, in which balanced growth may be realized, increasing wealth of our community.
Economic development is a process. No doubt, the population characteristics, resources and the desires of our residents affect the types of economic activity that will be accepted.
The CDC must monitor all aspects of the environment in order to develop strategies, goals and objectives that will achieve the desired results for the community and region.
The Rossburn and District CDC can provide business loans up to $10,000 designed to turn your dreams of owning a small business into reality.
With the help of the Community Works Loan Program we are playing a direct role in shaping the economic future of Rossburn.
Successful Businesses Don’t Just Happen - Establishing, operating and expanding a business requires careful planning and the funds to put viable ideas into action. Through our extensive range of practical, results orientated services, the CDC can provide the information, professional advice, business knowledge and financing options you need to determine and reach your business goals.
Our Development Team is focused on improving community services, increasing employment opportunities and encouraging population growth and prosperity.
Since 1996 we have approved over 17 applications and have provided over $132,800 in loans to community entrepreneurs.
Please contact the Rossburn and District CDC office if you’d like to discuss a concept, determine feasibility, conduct market research or if you require assistance developing a business plan. CDC’s exist to support community development.
